US Tariff update!

(updated: October 24th, 2025)

I'm finally able to ship to the US again! All products that are subject to tariffs now have a 15% tariff included in the prices. You'll see those in checkout as 'Duties'. This means that you should NOT get hit with additional tariff's when your package is delivered ot you!

Customers outside the EU, please keep in mind that any customs charges, fees, taxes, or import duties are the responsibility of the customer. These are not included in the item or shipping price. The only exemption to this is the IEEPA tariff; these costs are included in US orders.

Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I ship wherever I am able to! The UK and US included! If you know your country is in a difficult to deliver region, please contact me and I'll see what we can do about getting your package to you! :)

Do you ship to the United States?

I do! Our postal service has just made this available again! Delivery times may still be affected by the chaos at border control, so keep that in mind when ordering :)

Do I have to pay customs and VAT?

Unfortunately, international shipments could be subject to customs regulations, taxes or duties in the country it's shipped to. Since each country decides this individually, it's impossible for me to predict what you may or may not have to pay. This entirely depends on your country's tax laws and also on the value of your order.

If you want to some clarity about this before you order, please contact your local customs office so they can inform you about what you can expect. I ship from The Netherlands, which is part of the EU (as this may or may not affect the situation for you).

Customs regulations, taxes, or duties costs are your responsibility as a buyer!

If the buyer abandons or refuses the package, no refund will be given. It is recommend that you comply with local regulations as soon as possible before the package is discarded or destroyed (customs usually allows 7 to 14 working days).

At this moment I do collect VAT for the Netherlands, the European Union countries and the UK (included in the product price). I also collect & manage the tariffs for the US.

Art by Leonie Jonk is not responsible for any fees or taxes incurred on your order and these fees are not included in the item’s price or shipping costs.

Do I need tracked shipping? (it's so expensive)

No, you don't need tracked shipping if you are ordering anything besides an original piece. I haven't had an order get lost yet but if one does get lost I'll gladly recreate the print or product for you and send it to you again.

Can I track my order?

Yes, if you select tracked shipping you can. However it’s important to note that most packages (with the exception of originals) are automatically shipped without tracking, you’ll have to select the option yourself.

What happens if my order gets lost?

If your order gets lost for whatever reason please get in touch with me and we’ll try to work out a suitable solution. That could mean resending your order free of charge, or refunding you the price of your order. Or something else entirely.

Even with tracked shipping, sometimes something goes wrong and I'll do my best to make it up to you.

Returns

Can I return my original painting?

All sales of original artwork are final. As soon as your order is in I'll get to work to prepare the original for shipping and once it's shipped, it's completely out of my hands. 

Can I return a print or product?

Of course it's of the upmost importance to me that you are happy with your product, but you can imagine that even a small print is very valuable for an artist like myself. 

If you wish to return a print, that's possible, but I'll have to charge a restocking fee of about 20%. I'm more than happy to exchange a print for you too, though the restocking fee for the original print will still be applied, as I print to order and try my best to not have prints sitting in stock.

My order was damaged during shipping, now what??

I'm so sorry to hear that! Please get in touch with me through my contact page and I'll try my best to find a solution that works for you.

Do you take commissions?

At the moment I only take commissions on a very rare case-by-case basis. If you have an idea for a commission, please get in touch through kyntha@gmail.com or the contact page on my website and we can see if we can work something out :) 

How do I buy one of your original paintings?

I make new originals constantly and put them up for sale right here. If you'd like the opportunity to buy an original before others can get to it, you can sign up for my newsletter.
